  New Headmaster for the Elementary School!

The Session is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Michael Everhart as the Headmaster of First Presbyterian Academy, effective November 10th.  Mr. Everhart is an experienced administrator and educational consultant.  A former Buncombe County (NC) Teacher of the Year, Mr. Everhart has over twenty years experience in both public and private education.   He served as Upper School Head of Carolina Day School in Asheville for ten years, as the Headmaster of Statesville Christian School for five years and as the Administrator of Veritas Christian Academy in Fletcher, NC for the past three years.  Mr. Everhart has also served as a consultant to a number of Christian schools being used by the Lord to significantly increase enrollment, physical size and annual funds of each school he has touched.  Mr. Everhart is an active member in the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and completed the ACSI accreditation process during his tenure at his last three schools.  Mr. Everhart actively volunteers with the Special Olympics, serves in his church Trinity Presbyterian of Asheville and is a workshop leader at the Billy Graham Training Center at The Cove.  Mr. Everhart and his wife Peggy have five grown children and four grandchildren.  First Presbyterian Academy feels very fortunate to have Mr. Everhart as a part of our wonderful school.
